The words, explained
What is SEO?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation. It is the work of making a page easy for Google to understand and worth showing high in its results — the right title, a clear description, headings that match what the page is really about, and a site that loads properly. When someone types your product into Google, SEO decides whether you appear on the first page or the fifth.
What is AEO?
AEO stands for Answer Engine Optimisation. Instead of a list of links, an answer engine like ChatGPT or Perplexity replies with a written answer — and it can only mention your product if it could read your page, understand what you sell, and trust the details enough to repeat them. AEO is the work of making your page quotable in that way: clear facts, plain questions and answers, and structure a machine can follow.
What is GEO?
GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimisation. It is the newer name for the same job as AEO — getting your page picked up by the AI systems that generate answers, rather than by a list of blue links. The two terms are used interchangeably in the industry, and we report them as one number so you are not chasing the same work twice.
What is the difference between AEO, GEO and SEO?
SEO decides where you sit in Google's list of results. AEO and GEO decide whether an AI assistant quotes you when someone asks it a question instead of searching. They are not rivals — the same page can win both, and much of the underlying work overlaps. We measure SEO as your Overall SEO score and measure AEO and GEO together as your AI Visibility score.
Is SEO dead?
No — and it won't be. New layers keep stacking on top of it: AEO and GEO decide whether AI answers quote you, while SEO still decides where you sit on Google. You need both, and IconAEO scores both.
What do AEO, GEO and SEO mean?
SEO is how well your page ranks on Google search. AEO — Answer Engine Optimisation — is how well an AI assistant can read and quote your page. GEO is the newer name for that same work. We report AEO and GEO together as your AI Visibility score, because that's what it measures.
What you get
What exactly do I get for ₹599?
One product page audited across six areas, an SEO score and an AI Visibility score, plus the written replacements — a page title, a meta description, and four to six ready-to-paste questions and answers written for your product. Download it, or copy each line as you go.
How is this different from free SEO checkers?
Two things. Free checkers tell you what's wrong; we hand you the finished text to paste in. And they only score you for search engines — we also score whether an AI assistant could find your product and quote it, which is where a growing share of shopping questions now get answered.
What is the AI Visibility score?
It is our reading of how easy your page is for an AI assistant to read, understand and quote. It looks at whether the important facts about your product are stated in plain text rather than buried in images, whether the page answers the questions a buyer would ask, and whether it carries the machine-readable details an assistant looks for. AEO and GEO are the technical names for this work; AI Visibility is the number.
How is my overall score worked out?
We check your product page in six areas, worth 100 points in total.
- Technical SEO, meaning how well the page is built for Google = 21
- Keyword Alignment, meaning how well the page matches your keywords = 21
- Content Strength, meaning the quality of your product description = 20
- AEO / GEO, meaning how easily AI assistants can read and quote the page = 20
- UX & Structure, meaning the page layout and links = 10
- Schema Markup, meaning the product details Google reads behind the page = 8
What your score means, using the names your report shows:
- Under 50 = Weak Optimization
- 50 to 64 = Foundational
- 65 to 79 = Competitive
- 80 to 89 = Advanced
- 90 or more = Enterprise-Level
A page whose product description links to none of your other pages can't score above 89.
How is the AI Visibility score worked out?
Six checks, worth 15 points between them.
- A clear, factual opening sentence = 3
- A heading written as a question = 3
- A Q&A section = 3 (one for questions shoppers can see, two for the matching Q&A details Google reads behind the page)
- A list or table = 2
- Concrete facts such as sizes and materials = 2
- Trust signals = 2 (one for your brand set out in the details Google reads and named the same way on the page, one for claims backed by a source such as a certification)
We turn that into a score out of 100. Then we check whether your site lets the four page readers used by the main AI assistants, including ChatGPT and Perplexity, read the page. If your site blocks half of them, your score is halved.
What is Site Trust?
Site Trust is how strong and established your whole store looks to Google, rather than how good one page is. It is built up slowly, mostly by other websites linking to yours, and it is the reason a well-known shop can outrank a better-written page from a new one. We show it so you can tell the two problems apart: a low page score is something you fix this afternoon, while low Site Trust is a longer game.
Do I have to use all three keywords?
No — one is mandatory, and one is enough to start. Add up to three if you like. We assess the page against exactly the keywords you choose.
Can I check the same page again after I make the changes?
Yes, and that is the point. Apply the fixes, publish them, then run the same page and the same keyword again. The report will show you what moved — and points are awarded for every fix we can confirm is now live on your page.
Do my credits expire?
No. One credit is one rupee, a full audit is 599 credits, and whatever is left in your wallet stays there until you use it. There is no subscription and nothing renews on its own.
Finding keywords
What is the Keyword Finder?
It shows you what people in India actually type into Google around your product. Type a word or phrase and you get related searches, how many people search each one every month, how that changed over the last 12 months, how crowded it is with advertisers, and what advertisers bid. It helps you choose the words to build your page around before you audit it.
How much does a keyword search cost?
50 credits a search, which is ₹50. If a search finds nothing, you are not charged. Every search is saved, so you can open it again or download it later without paying again.
Where do the search numbers come from?
Straight from Google's own keyword data, the same source advertisers use to plan their campaigns. They are Google's estimates of monthly searches, not a promise of how many visitors you will get.
Which country and language does it cover?
India, in English. The numbers show what people in India search for on Google in English.
How do I use the keywords I find?
Pick one as your main keyword, and up to two more if you like, then press Run Audit. The New Audit page opens with them already filled in, so your page is checked against the words people really search for. You can also download the full list as an Excel file.
What to expect
Will AI-written text get my store penalised by Google?
Not for being written with AI. Google says: "Appropriate use of AI or automation is not against our guidelines." What Google does act against is using AI to churn out lots of pages mainly to push up search rankings, without adding value for shoppers. We suggest text for one page at a time, and you should check every fact before you paste it onto your store.
Will my product reach Google's first page?
We can't promise a first-page spot — that depends on things beyond any single page, like how much competition you're up against. What we do make sure of is that your page passes the on-page checks Google looks for. That's the part you control, and it's where most stores are leaving points on the table.
Does it work with my store?
Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix and Squarespace are the four we support properly, and we can read most public product pages beyond those. We don't audit marketplace listings like Amazon or Myntra — they have their own formats. If a page blocks us, we don't charge you; your credits go back to your wallet.
What happens if the audit can't read my page?
You are not charged. Some pages sit behind a password, a bot blocker or a country restriction, and we would rather say so than guess. When that happens the credits go straight back to your wallet and the report tells you plainly what stopped us, so you can fix it and try again.
I don't understand any of this — is it for me?
Especially for you. You don't need to know a word of SEO to read your report. We assess the page against industry standards, then explain it in plain English — so you can see where the problem is and exactly what to do about it.
Do you store or sell my product data?
We read your product page the same way a search engine does — it is already public. We keep your report so you can open it again later. We do not sell it and we do not share it. The full detail is in our privacy policy.
